Artwork Showing at Dimo's Pizzeria
I will be having a show inside...a pizzeria! Their pizza is awesome. The pizza that will be served is pepperoni with caramelized onions and arugula, called the "RED OCEAN", and the cocktail served will be called "THE MONITOR", which is gin and ginger beer. I will probably be displaying my robots and the original imagery of said robots. I think that will be nice. I probably can't put up the pillows.

Preventing Plant Blindness
Response to Wandersee, James H. and Schussler, Elisabeth E. ‘Preventing Plant Blindness’ The American Biology Teacher, Vol. 61 No. 2, Feb., 1999; pp. 82-86 I like to imagine the idea of me being diagnosed with plant blindness, because I certainly would be. I think this infliction would be much more damning in a time period where knowing what each plant was incredibly significant for the sake of living. However, even in the times where knowing the difference between plants would be supremely helpful, knowing which animals could kill you or you could take as food was much more of an "immediate" concern, to put it politely. Also plainly, a lot of people do not see plants as having personalities, and I think it's just from a lack of exposure and learning about them. This was a good introductory reading, and I like the abrasiveness of "Prevent Plant Blindness". Even so, I think animals will always prevail, as those can kill us and you can take videos of them doing silly things. Not to mention, buying 100-200 cats and having them in your apartment sounds almost lethal in comparison to the idea of having 100-200 houseplants in your apartment. I've done neither, but, maybe one day. Pictured: Cats Girl and Spiders Girl

Last Day of the year
Happy new year! I currently am showing a few of my robots on the 2nd floor of the Green Exchange Building in Chicago, IL. I will also be installing my work at a pizza place soon! The 2024 Calendars are out and can be found on camcollins.bigcartel.com . This was a good year overall, I made many large changes to my brain. Copper Odyssey 2 is still in heavy development, and I'd like to keep the momentum I have now. With more sprites and bigger sprites, as well as maps and battlebacks...the workload has probably quadrupled. If you want to support my creation of it, I highly recommend just buying from any of my little stores. Currently listening to "Your Affection" from the Persona 4 OST. I think it is a good year.

Workshop 4200 Show Image
Here is an image of the robots installed at the show! Quite happy with how they turned out, I was afraid of the stickers having to be put onto the brick wall, but my brain forgot there was actually a large white wall space. The show is also going to be extended possibly to August, thank you again to Adam for setting this all up.

Solo Show at Workshop 4200
From June 30 - July 20th, I will be showing my artwork at the Workshop 4200 space, which is home to a variety of art studios. The opening reception will from 5 - 9pm at the space on June 30th. I hope that I will be available to successfully install the new robots I've created.

Flowerbot
A new robot is in the process. This is the "Flowerbot" I have been teasing about for a while, and since it is all fully colored and printed, all I have to do is cut the pieces out and construct it. Here is the story that goes with the Flowerbot:
This is the story of the baby born from the ground and now wants to fly. It was born at 3:37 PM, and gardened out by The Intruder. The Intruder came to the garden that was not hers, and wanted to plant a baby. This baby will have to come back to The Intruder, so the baby, named “The Junior”, will have to fly back to its original creator, and become a part of the family.

I Love Wild Guns!
I have recently played and completed all of the achievements for Natsume's "Wild Guns Reloaded" on Steam! This game was incredibly surprising and I love it as is. It was a shame to see that I could not find another game like it. Hopefully, in the future, I can make a "Wild Guns" of my own. This will definitely be on my mind for the rest of my life.

Sneak Peek of "Rocky" Character - A New Angel
In the vein of showing more of the expanded parts of Copper Odyssey, I think it is important for me to show more of each kind of person there is to offer in the world as well. There is another devil, another angel or two, and who knows what else. I think I will have much more time to work on the game while I watch movies...Maybe I should make a post about the movies I like? Where else would I put that kind of thing? I think here will be good for now.

The Cards Are Finished
The cards are finished! The link to get them is right here: The Playing Cards
These cards are only an edition of 50, so please have little expectation of these ever coming out again, at least in the form they're currently in. I will probably try to do more produced products like this, as I simply have fun drawing. Each of the 52 cards is unique, as well as the face cards having their own set dialogue!

The Progress on the Cards
This is what has been done so far with my cards project. I do not think me drawing a character for every single 52 card in the deck was a waste of time, but maybe it would've been best if I focused in on the actual face cards sooner. Oh well, having more art doesn't hurt, I think. But in this image, you will see the main face cards. I will be downloading these images and may start to get coloring tomorrow or the next day. Many things to work on, as well as school. I will still have to figure out how to make playing cards anyway.....thanks for reading.

RPGenius + Solution
There are many nice people in the world, one of these nice people is responsible for patching Copper Odyssey 1! This codefriend is Bradley, their favorite character is Angel Guard. There is a new mechanic in Copper Odyssey 2 that I am adding and while I had the general ingredients and idea, the mechanic was not working as intended. We had long discussion and I explained how it was, and after tinkering Bradley was able to get it right! It is like RPGenius, sometimes that is just how it is. This post is a thank you to Bradley! This mechanic is a very important solution for a longtime problem I have had with. I hope you will enjoy it, or at least, understand why it is in there. Thanks for reading.
Note: I can solve a Rubik's Cube

Playing Card Deck in Process
Currently drawing a character for each card of the standard 52 card deck. I am not too familiar with card games so I may come off as a secondary, but I've been interesting in doing something like this for a while. At first I wanted to do tarot cards, but I figured doing the normal playing cards would be easier. Each suit (?) has its own little group of characters. I will have to figure out how to display the characters on the card as well as the numbers and iconography...Among everything else you think would need to be on a playing card. I am trying to get the main characters done before I go to visit good friend -- I will not be taking my computer on that trip.

Money Match Promo
Another Melty Blood AACC Post! This time it is a promo for COPKILLER4FUN (C-Ciel player) vs Whisk (H-Seifuku). Enjoyed drawing this a lot, and I have fun with this kind of thing. I love doing these kinds of promos and hopefully I can do it for a big official """ESPORTS""" (that word is a bit turbulent) event one day!

"Melty Masons" Illustration
I was asked to draw a small illustration of the characters Nrvnqsr Chaos, Kohaku, and Satsuki building a brick house, all being orchestrated by Ciel. This drawing is for "Melty Masons". It is a group for Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code players to train and play and get better and whatnot. I had fun doing this small drawing, it's very pleasing to me.

Enemy Stylings
Initially I was happy with the look of my enemies for CO2 being solid and matching the (admittedly, almost hesitantly, maybe confidently) cartoonish bold style of the main Portrait arts. The first Copper Odyssey had the enemies artwork done entirely in Aseprite on a track pad, and while I like to believe I had fun doing that, I'm not sure why the idea of doing that for Copper Odyssey 2 is just not interesting for me. Maybe I subconsciously want more detail? I'm sure, in my heart, there is a good reason (I wonder how many people say that). Either way, I realized that drawing the enemies with the bold stylings of the portrait art is not really fun. It is restricting, and yes, that feeling comes across to me while drawing portraits as well, but I think it's fine for me to be limited with the faces and I like its consistency. With enemies, and for the "theme" I'm going for, I think it will look best if they are done in a different style than the one pictured here. I am glad I did not get too far into the process -- only 3 enemies for Copper Odyssey 2 have been drawn. I have also gotten very sick recently, so my brain is shifting a bit.

Jack Black and Son Have Copper Odyssey
Apparently Jack Black has one of the 50 physical copies of Copper Odyssey in his house! Very shocking and surreal. Thank you to Jack Black and Son (sorry I do not know your name) for obtaining Copper Odyssey, and also to Strangest.io for having the reach to get it to them. Here is nice photo.

Copper Odyssey 2 Development Log 1
Showing portraits of 2 altered colored shopkeepers and also a mid battle screen. I want to have animated backgrounds this time and I don't think any of them will remain static. It is a very simple and fun process and I like doing small animations like this. I've also thought a bit about Celeste's battle animations. I've already named all of her skills after animals and that's what they'll be but I think a few days ago I came across something that gave me the answer as to how they should be animated. A bit unrelated to Copper Odyssey, but I think I'm going to stop commissions. School is starting again for me soon and I'd like to just work on Copper Odyssey 2 and also my schoolwork. They could be combined if I convinced, but I'd like to do more. Also, I feel a bit bad that people on 7317739 thought the song was for the original OST for Copper Odyssey 2. I hope the song IS as good as that but as of now it is from the Black Rock Shooter Hatsune Miku game...That is it for now, just a picture of shopkeeper and battle for you. I've done a bit more but I will show later. For now I am working on a comic for Celeste. Have any of you heard "The Mod Parlour" song that was in Boba Fett show? I don't plan on watching the show but the song was recommended to me and was really good. Now I recommend it to you.

Thank you for coming!
Welcome to the new website. This is the first NEWS / BLOG post that is on here, and I just finished 2 small birthday presents for friends of mine. They have supported my game, Copper Odyssey, since the very beginning as well. These are their characters in "Copper Odyssey Style" (I do not know if that is a real thing hahahah). Expect posts in this area of the site to have little things like this. You could consider this the kind of thing that maybe you'd find on someones twitter, however, I much prefer this format. No need for followers or numbers, just content! Welcome to the gift, the site's a gift, welcome to the site. Thanks again to SPICYYETI for making this...I designed it, but they did the HTML work. Reminder, you can contact me at camracollins@gmail.com if you ever need anything or have an inquiry.
